Q. How does PizzaTXT work?

A. PizzaTXT is a simple and effective special offer and coupon delivery service using text messaging. Here's how it works:

  • • Sign up for your unique PizzaTXT account and code (it takes only a few minutes)
  • • Promote your unique PizzaTXT code to your customers (click here for promotion ideas)
  • • Customers will request your special offers and coupons by texting your unique code to 57232
  • • PizzaTXT will automatically send a reply text message with your current special offer and you have the option of joining the 'opt-in-crowd' to receive coupons regularly
  • • Customers will refer to the special offer when ordering by phone or in person
  • • Results can be reviewed in real time by logging into your PizzaTXT account at any time to see how many messages have been sent

Q. How do I get started?

A. Getting started only takes a few minutes. Follow this link to begin the quick account sign up and custom PizzaTXT text-to-code.

Q. What do I need to start?

A. To register your new account and text code, you’ll need your contact information, major credit card and a cellular telephone with text messaging capabilities (to receive test text messages of your special offers).

Q. How long does my account take to activate and be ready for use?

A. Your account is immediately active after completing the quick registration process. This means you can begin customizing your message and promoting your new special offer service to customers.

Q. How do I get a unique code?

A. The code that you register for is unique to your restaurant, and once reserved will be yours for as long as you maintain an active PizzaTXT account. “RAYSPIZZA” , “GETRAYSPIZZA” , “RAYSGOODSLICE” are all examples of code styles you might consider. Keep in mind that the best codes are related to your business name or product, are as short as possible, and easy to remember and type into a cellular telephone.

Q. What does this cost?

A. First, PizzaTXT uses performance-based pricing, which means you only pay for the special offers delivered to customers WHEN THEY REQUEST THEM. This approach makes PizzaTXT an incredibly low-cost/high-reward program to run for your restaurant, especially compared to traditional printed and mailed coupon cards, because offers are delivered only to highly qualified leads. Q. How do I pay?

A. Your PizzaTXT program is paid by major credit card – Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover – and the quick and easy sign up process includes a step for submitting your billing information (PizzaTXT uses industry-standard encryption technology to protect and secure your data). During the initial set up, an account deposit of $25 will be charged to your credit card and is applied toward your first $25 worth of service fees. On-going monthly account fees occur at the start of each month for the previous month’s delivered messages.

Q. How do I promote this to my customers?

A. Your PizzaTXT code can be referred to in any advertisement such as yellow pages, newspaper, radio or in-store signage (including on receipts). Restaurants have also seen good response with printed coupons and box toppers that go out with deliveries. Click here to see our promotional examples.

Q. Why should I offer discounts to customers I already serve?

A. All customers enjoy discounts almost as much as the food. By offering coupons to existing customers you make them feel appreciated, and compete for more of their disposable income that they may otherwise save or spend elsewhere.

Q. Can I see an example of a text message that my customers will see?

A. Once you are signed up, any special offer message changes will trigger a test message to be sent to the wireless phone that you specified. You may also see a sample message before registering by texting PIZZADEMO to 52732. Give it a try.

Q. What type of message am I sending to customers?

A. Messages sent by PizzaTXT on your behalf are limited to 160 characters in length and are compatible with 100% of phones with text messaging capabilities. Messages are text only. Images and sound files are not supported. The message is customized by you, and can be changed as often as you like. PizzaTXT suggest that you use a portion of your 160 characters for your special offer code (ex. SAVE$2LARGE), restaurant name and phone number. Q. How will I know if this program increases my sales?

A. Full reporting is available in your restaurant’s "My Account" page. You can easily see how many text messages were sent and then compare this to the number of text-coupons redeemed in your restaurant with whatever internal tracking system you use.

Q. What if I do not like the program, can I cancel?

A. Yes, you can cancel your account at any time. However, if you have not used your initial $25 deposit for text messaging charges, it will not be refunded.

Q. I lost my password to login. How can I get it?

A. To recover your lost password, click on the forgot password link on the login page.

Q. Why do charges appear on my bill as 'Maps.com'?

A. Creative Tecknology and PizzaTXT are part of the Maps.com group. This is how charges will be identified by your card issuer.
